Question:
Is it possible to clone Renault Continental EMS3120 TC1738 ECM by OBDSTAR DC706?
Obdexpress.co.uk engineer replied:
Yes. DC706 with ECM V30.60 can read the original EMS3120 ECM INT Flash and INT EEPROM data, and write into the new one in boot mode.
Here are the newest Renault ECM models supported by OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool.
Step 2:
Select ECU Flasher>> All>> ECM>> ECMV30.60>> ems3120> Renault Continental EMS3120 TC1738
Step 3:
Check the Boot and PINOUT connection diagrams
Step 4:
Follow the diagrams to connect BOOT, MP001 Programmer, and EMS3120 ECM by P004 ECU Clone Jumper, C401 and W004 properly
Then connect MP001 to DC706 by main cable, and supply power to DC706
Step 5:
After connection, click "Start", select "BOOT" and "MP001" options
Step 6:
Connect OBDSTAR DC706 to an available WiFi
Connect to the ECU
Once the ECU connection is successful, you can start to perform the corresponding read and write operations
Click "Read INT flash (TC1738)" and "Read INT eeprom (TC1738)" to read the original data in sequence, and then back up the related file
Connect DC706 ECU Programmer to a new EMS3120 ECM
Click "Write INT flash (TC1738)" and select the original data to write into the new ECM
Click "Write INT eeprom (TC1738)" and select the original data to write into the new ECM as well
Disconnect ECU after writing.
Done!
