How to configure VXDIAG Benz C6?

 Here offer the how-to’s of configuring VXDIAG Benz C6 via ConfigAssist.

Go to vxdiag.net, download and install VX Manager.

Update all inside VX Manger.

Enter ConfigAssist and set for VCI.

 

Please be informed: if you have V2020.09 MB Star Software with Keygen, you can skip step 3. However, if you use the Xentry software by yourself, you need to do the steps of hardware configuration below.

Turn on ConfigAssist and choose“XENTRY Diagnosis VCI”.

Choose “Continue”.

Choose “Continue”again.

If StartKey doesn’t run, enter StartKey manually.

When StartKey is loaded successfully, choose “Apply and continue”.

Connect VCI, then choose “Apply and continue”

When Benz C6 configuration is finished, exit, then restart your computer.

VXDIAG Nano Volvo or VIDA DICE 2014 which is better?

 What's the difference between VIDA DICE2014 unit and that VXDIAG Nano Volvo? Which one is better?

 

Firstly, let's review VIDA DICE:

There's actually 3 types. Vida, Vida clone and vxdiag.

 

Vida is official Volvo tool. Most expensive but fastest to read your car.

 

Vida clone is almost as good as official Vida. Even looks like official Vida.

 

And the only real difference between genuine and Chinese made is the lack of Bluetooth on the Chinese one. But for $700 less, it’s a small cost. The Chinese dice are good now a days for vida 2014D, Vida online (paid subscription, flashing software), vdash, and for tuners to use for their programs. There is no other difference.

 

Secondly is the review of VXDIAG Nano Volvo:

Someone chose to buy one of these rather than a DICE or DICE clone because (A) these are a bit cheaper than DICE clones.

 

Attention:

1. Just follow instructions and installed VIDA 2014D from the installation DVD that came with the device. It will work like a charm.

Someone tried to use it with a VIDA installation he had already done using a virtual machine image, it didn't work, I just kept getting an error message: "ERROR: SDK GetProcAddress!".

 

2. The recommendation for VIDA is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

 

Pros:

1. Can connect to the car and read it's details, fault codes and live data.
2. Can also use the activate feature to turn on and off various systems for testing.
3. Much cheaper than vida dice
4. works the same as the Vida and Vida clone.
5. used the device with VDASH2 and it also works fine for reading information and fault codes.
6. Multi Languages: Italian, English, French, Portuguese, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Thai, Chinese

 

Cons:

1. A little slower to read your car;
2. Requires additional software to be install (it does come with all required software on a cd but can also be downloaded for free)

 

Conclusion:

Recommend the VX NANO Volvo as a cheaper alternative to a DICE clone. Just follow the instructions and know that it may not work on a VM.

DoIP MB STAR MB SD C4 Plus updated with new PCB model

 Some people have a strong curiosity about DoIP MB SD C4 Plus because what appears to be a new PCB variant they've not seen before (i.e the analog interface side has some pretty significant differences)

Interesting because, if it's real, they moved to a module for the WiFi, which means that someone actually got ahold of the schematics/layout for one of these (or reverse engineered it from leaked gerbers), but more importantly, made a new PCB spin.  It doesn't solve any of the fundamental issues, but is interesting none the less.  Has anyone purchased one of these units yet?  I'd be curious to see more shots of the interior, esp. what's under the heatsinks.

Before anyone gets too excited, this board doesn't look like any of kind engineering par excellence -- it looks more like a cost optimized respin -- but that said, whoever did this had to know something about what they were at least intent upon trying to do.

Autel IM608 performs All Keys Lost Programming on Key ID46

 I have one Autel MaxiIM IM608, and one day I used it to program a Key ID 46 for Mitsubishi Outlander 2007, all keys lost, this is the key that I want to program:

Because I don't have the correct chip to program, I got error "The key couldn't be registered because the key was wrong type. ".

 

Then I consult in the Autel MaxiIM IM608 group, many locksmiths gave me advice, among them I pick up two here, hope it helps you too if you have the same problem.

 

1. Make sure the 46 chip has Mitsubishi data inside it. Not a normal 7936.

Connect programmer and turn ignition on when prompted. If you put an unprogrammed key into it and turn ignition on you will get immo lockout for 35 minutes.

 

2. For the key that you want to program, Xhorse Condor Mini Plus is able to cut the key for you, if you don't have one Condor, ask someone for help.

Requirements:

1. Need Netframework 4.6 or up version installed on system.
2. After installation, need restart your pc
3. Administrator rights are required.

Copy and paste Scania SDP3 2.46.1 software folder onto the desktop.

Setup “Adobe Reader 9.2” as administrator.

Run “NDP462 setup” as administrator

Install Framework 4.6.2 setup

Accept license agreement and press Install.

Right click on “Scania Diagnos & Programmer3 2.46.1.exe” and select “Run as administrator” to install setup.

Click on “Next”.

Accept license agreement.

Select the installation location

Click on “Install”.

Ensure the VCI unit and SDP3 USB key are disconnected from the computer before going on with this installation.

Complete SDP3 setup installation.

Open “Prerequistes.cmd” to ensure if the operation completed successfully.

It pops up Warning and click on “Yes”, then “Yes” to update the VCI, then update successfully.

Open “SDP3 Configurator” on desktop, it allows you to reset language.
