Xhorse MLB Tool can work with VVDI Key Tool Plus/ VVDI2 with PC software to add new keys to VW, Audi, Porsche and more vehicles no need to disassemble the chip. Here takes Audi A4L as an example to show the detailed operation guide.

Xhorse Key Tool Plus Pad
1.Connect MLB Tool and Key Tool Plus via USB cable
The short USB (OTG) cable should be connected to KeyTool Plus, while the long USB A to C cable needs to be connected to MLB-Tool.
It may result in communication issues if connecting with wrong cable.
Place the original car key in the key identification area of Xhorse MLB-Tool
2.Operate on Xhorse Key Tool Plus Pad
Select IMMO Programming>> Audi>> Select by type>> MLB Immobilizer Systems>> Start programming
Make sure the network connection is normal
Start to perform the supported functions one by one.
Step 1: Identify key
Select Identification key to read key info
Step 2: Connect key and MLB Tool
Select Connection diagram and select the corresponding type (Type 3 Audi/Bentley)
Follow the instruction to do
- Remove components of original key as diagram shown (2 capacitors)
- Soldering cable to original key according to different color as diagram shown.
Place the key with MLB cable connected in the Xhorse MLB-Tool key identification area
Note: the TOP side needs to face upwards.
Step 3: Collect key data
Select Collect key data
In general, it is recommended to the vehicle info first. The calculated IMMO file will contain all the IDs of original vehicle keys.
Select the method of data collection
The OEM key here is the VVDI MLB specialized key. When using this key, allows you to calculate the data free of charge points and each specialized key can only be used to calculate the data once.
Select as needed (i.e. No OEM key)
This process doesn’t require on-board collection.
After the collection is completed, the data will be automatically uploaded and calculated.
Save the IMMO data. The data can be used to make dealer key and learn keys.
Step 4: Make dealer key
Select Make dealer key, select the file to be loaded
Insert the new key into the key identification area of VVDI MLB Tool area and wait for the process is complete
Step 5: Learn key
Perform the key learning on the vehicle
Turn on the ignition switch, connect Key Tool Plus Pad to vehicle via the OBD cable
Keep the key close to the sensing coil
Select Learn key on Xhorse Key Tool Plus
Follow the prompts to complete key learning
Input the number of keys to be learned (i.e. 2)
Load the IMMO data
Click OK to start
Learn the first key successfully, and then use the same method to learn the next key
Step 6: Test key
After learning key, test the new key on the vehicle.
Check if the following functions are ok or not:
Smart function of key (remote control), one- touch start, one keyless entry, and lock
