Today we use Lonsdor K518 Pro to program smart key to 2017 Ford Edge all keys lost via OBD.
Tools Required:
- Lonsdor K518 PRO key programmer
- OBD cable
- One original car key
- One new key
Programming Procedure:
1.Key Generation:
Connect K518 PRO to OBD port
Select: Generate smart key→ Ford → Edge → 434.24 FSK ID49 option
Place a blank smart key in the programmer’s card slot
Select "Generate"
Confirm successful generation
2.Key Programming:
Return to main menu
Select: IMMO & Remote → FORD→ China→ Edge→ 2017-
Choose "Program Smart Key" → "All smart key lost"
Follow on-screen instructions:
- Turn ignition OFF
- Close driver door once
- Prepare 2 smart keys
3.Key Initialization:
Insert 1st working smart key near start button
Press START button once
Remove 1st key, insert 2nd new key
Press START button once
Confirm successful programming of both keys
4.Verification Test:
Key 1 Test:
Press brake + START — verify engine starts
Test remote functions (lock/unlock)
Key 2 Test:
Repeat start procedure
Verify remote functions
Programming Notes:
- Ensure vehicle battery is stable (>12V)
- Complete process within 30 minutes
- Both keys must be programmed in same session
- Verify all keys work before exiting programming mode
