Quick Guide to Reset Airbag by OBDSTAR P50

 It's not difficult to do airbag resetting with OBDSTAR P50 via OBD or Bench. Generally speaking, just strictly follow the quick guide in this post and you can reset airbag successfully.

OBDSTAR P50

General operation steps (for all ECU Part Number):

  • Read ECU part number
    1. Make sure the correct part number is selected

    2. Read DTC (fault code)
      1. Check whether there is an airbag collision

      2. Erase DTC (fault code)
        1. Only a few models can erase crash by fault code clearing

        2. If Read EEPROM function is supported, go to read the EEPROM
        3. Erase Crash
        4. If Write VIN function is supported, go to write VIN
          1. This function is only for a few Ford Renault car models. It may clear the VIN information during erasing crashing.

          2. Erase DTC (fault code)
          3. Read DTC (fault code) again
            1. Confirm that the airbag crash fault has been successfully cleared
