Yes, there is a successful case by Xhorse VVDI Prog & VVDI2, but it requires to remove the CIM module and program it on bench.
Here is the case.
Tools:
Xhorse VVDI Prog EEPROM Clip Adapter
CIM module
93C66 chip
Remove the CIM module inside the steering column.
Desolder 93C66 chip and put it into the slot of VVDI Prog.
Use the USB cable to connect VVDI Prog and PC.
Open the VVDI Prog software.
Choose “EEPROM&FLASH”“MICROCHIP” and “93C/LC/AA66A(8PIN)”.
Press “Read” and “Save” to get the original EEPROM data file.
Use the USB cable to connect Xhorse VVDI2 and PC.
Open the VVDI2 software.
Press
Transponder Programmer>>Immoillizer Data Tool.
Choose “Euro”“Saab”“9-3” and “2003-93C66”.
Press “Load EEPROM dump file” to load the file we saved before.
Press
Key 3 Not use>>Make Dealer Key>>PCF 7936(PCF 7946)
Input the working key into the slot of VVDI2.
Press “OK” to save the new dump file.
Here we can load the new file to check the key number change.
Insert the VVDI super chip into the slot of VVDI Key Tool Max.
Use Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max to reset Xhorse VVDI Super Chip.

Special Function>>Set type of VVDI super chip>>Reset VVDI super chip
Insert the VVDI super chip into the slot of VVDI2.
Turn to VVDI2 software, press
Key 1 Used>>Make Dealer Key>>VVDI Super chip
Prepare dealer key success.
Turn to VVDI Prog software
Open the new Key 3 dump file.
Click “Write” to write the file back to the EEPROM.
Click “Verify” to check the information.
Solder the chip back together.
Short out the crystal beside 93C66 chip.
Use Xhorse VVDI Prog EEPROM Clip Adapter to connect Xhorse VVDI Prog and 93C66 chip on the circuit.
Use the VVDI Prog software to read and check the EEPROM data.
Now we have the Key 3 bin file for Add Key and the VVDI super chip as the dealer key for AKL.
