This guide will demonstrate how to install and uninstall this adapter easily.

Part 1: Install Xhorse BMW BDC2 Adapter

Locate the 3 alignment markers on both the Xhorse BDC2 Adapter and the BMW BDC2 module.

Carefully position the adapter so the markers match perfectly before applying pressure.

Once aligned, press the adapter firmly downward until it clicks into place.

Engage the locking clip to prevent disconnection during operation.

Part 2: Uninstall Xhorse BMW BDC2 Adapter

First, unlock the clips on the adapter

Then find a clean flat surface and place the BMW G chassis BDC to module on it securely

Use both hands to evenly press down on both sides of the module

At this point, the pin header will smoothly pop up and disconnect from the adapter

Finally, lift the adapter straight up

The three positioning pins ensure the pin headers won’t bend during removal and also prevent injury from forced connection.

Step 1: Identify (CAN)

Identify the system info, the EWS status is Unclear

Step 2: Identify (BENCH)

Detect the chip model is TC277

Step 3: Reset EWS

Select "8HP_GEN3 (TC277) according to the chip model identified in step 2

Select "Reset EWS"

Confirm the system info and continue

Back up the chip data

Continue to write chip data

Do not cut the power and pull out the device during the programming!

Reset EWS data successfully

Step 4: Identify (CAN) again

Identify the system info again, now the EWS status is Cleared.

Done!
