              PCMtuner Dongle FAQs and Solutions

Recently, some customers gave feedback that PCMTuner Smart Dongle had quality problems, such as the boots on the Dongle not being fully welded to the PCB and the Dongle become hot during use. In fact, that's normal for Smart Dongle, not a quality problem. Check how obdexpress.co.uk technician explains.

Q: Why the dongle chip has some boots don't weld to the PCB, is that the factory makes mistakes or has quality pro?

              PCMTuner Smart Dongle

A: It's not a quality problem. It's specially designed by PCMTuner team for safety factor. They don't let the chip be fully welded to the PCB. Because if you weld the chip or anyone tries to touch it, the dongle will damage soon and lock.

Q: Why will Dongle feel hot when it's working?

A: It's really normal. Any PCB work will expand heat, so it can be protected from damage due to the high temperature.

              Kindly notice:

Previously, you need to offer your email address to us for PCMTuner activation. It's not convenient and takes much time to wait.

Now PCMTuner team has improved this problem.

Once you register the PCMTuner software, your PCMTuner device is also activated at the same time. It means you don't need to provide your email address to us for activation anymore.

Besides, PCMTuner team also has fixed the problem that PCMTuner cannot use once changing computer. Now you can use PCMTuner on different computers with different available email addresses, no need to contact us to cancel the software registration and activate again.

One computer only supports one email address for activation. You can use multiple computers at the same time without logging out of other accounts you want.
