Part 3:
How to register and update Autel IM508S?
Step 1: Connect device and internet
Turn on Autel IM508S tablet
Select Settings>> System settings>> Network & Internet>> WiFi>>
Turn on [Use WiFi]
Connect with an available WiFi
The internet is connected.
Step 2: Register Autel IM508 II
There is a new version will appear when you use the device, click "Update Now", and then click "Install Now", and install (update) personal center according to the prompt.
Enter register page, input all personal info. (User name, country/region, province, city, phone number, SMS verification code, and password), and click "Register".
Link your IM508S key programmer with serial number and password.
The device is registered and bound successfully.
Step 3: Download and update Autel IM508S software
Go to main menu, enter [Update] function page
First download Update APP for IMMO
Then download System Program
If there is new version in the future, also enter "Update" function to update the corresponding software.
Note: To prevent data loss, you'd better back up the diagnostic data to a memory card (Scan folder on the root directory).
Part 4:
How to generate universal key with Autel MaxiIM IM508S?
Car key: i.e. 2018 BMW 8 series 314.00 MHz
Accessory used: Autel XP200 key programmer
Use the USB cable to connect Autel IM508S and XP200 key programmer
Press the start button to open IM508S key programmer
The indicator of Auel XP200 is green, which means the device communication is normal.
Tap Universal key on the main menu to start the key generation process
Accept the disclaimer, tap Universal Key Generation>> Europe>> BMW>> Type by Model>> 8 Series>> 2018>> BMW 8 series 2017- 2020 (314.00 MHz FSK, ID49)
Insert one Autel Ikey for BMW into Autel XP200
Select "Generate Universal Key"
The key is generated fast and perfect.
