If you use a Lonsdor K518 Pro or other K518 tablet for your daily locksmith work, it’s time to hit that update button! Lonsdor just dropped a major update that adds PIN code calculation by providing rolling code for newer Toyota, Subaru, and Daihatsu models.
You can now get the PIN code through 3rd party apps or have a Lonsdor engineer calculate the rolling code for you ($30 per PIN).
What’s New in Lonsdor K518 Update?
1.Toyota Yaris (2021+):
Now supports All Keys Lost (AKL) via OBD for 4A blade keys!
Just follow the path: Toyota > Select from vehicle > Asia > Yaris > 2021- > Mechanical key(4A).
- Toyota GR86 (2021+) & Subaru BRZ (2022+):
You can now easily add keys via OBD using Lonsdor LT20 universal smart key!
- For GR86: Go to Toyota > Select from vehicle > Asia > GT86 > 2021- > PEPS (CAN).
- For BRZ: Go to SUBARU > Select from vehicle > Asia > Brz > 2022- > Smart key (CAN).
3.Daihatsu Gran Max (-2022):
Supports All Keys Lost via OBD for 4A keys.
Find it under: DAIHATSU > Select from vehicle > Asia > Gran Max > -2022 > Mechnical key (4A).
Essential Steps for Rolling Code Calculation
Need Lonsdor to calculate the PIN code for you? Don’t forget the video rule! To get your code approved, you must record a quick video on-site to prove it’s a real All Keys Lost job.
Make sure your video clearly shows:
- An unlit dashboard cluster (completely dark).
- A dead/inactive center console.
- Nothing but your Lonsdor K518 key programmer plugged into the OBD port.
Once you pay the fee, send over the rolling code generated by your K518 tablet. The engineers will calculate the PIN, and you’ll be ready to program the key in minutes!
