Diagnose Nissan 2007 x-trail 2.0 dci with Consult III or Multidiag Actia J2534?

Car model and year: Nissan 2007 x-trail 2.0 dci

Purpose:
I especially try to diagnose effectively, clear the defects, possibly handle this damn Fap ....
I am looking for a tool do, for example, resets after "organ" change like egr valves on Nissan. Is it able to perform tests?

Advice: if you just want to make an xtrail take the consult III.

Comes one question: on this obdexpress.co.uk site, we find two interfaces consult one at €118 and the other $225 without I can distinguish the differences in features. Is there a big difference between the two?

Fact:
yes it will be much more effective on Nissan than a multi-brand!
already between the one at €118 and €225 there is a difference is that the most expensive has Bluetooth and not the other. the most expensive comes with a suitcase the other is a carton, after there may be the quality of the components used which is different!
but otherwise the 2 will do the same thing except that the $118 has to be connected to the pc by a USB cord
So, you are supposed to go to one of these two interfaces Nissan consult III.

Nissan Consult 3 Plus NOT Connect to PC (customer solutions)

This is for those with a Nissan consult 3 plus interface not connected to the PC.

Usually when users power it up, only the red power led comes on and nothing more.

Suggestion from experienced users:

1: close anti-virus program & disconnect internet connecton

Anti virus program oder firewall/auto protect activ
This software may disturb/block the vi- recognitoin routine of c3+.

in my case (using a passthru device) i disconnected the internet connection, deactivated the auto protect function and after starting c3+ again, the led became green….

I think to remember , you have to connect the original vi to the car and the laptop, both. Only connection to the laptop is not enough for c3+ to recognize the original vi.

2: check usb circuit on pcb and usb sockets on pc

If you have basic knowledge of checking the pcb and components internally, check the usb circuit etc. and have a try on another laptop to eliminate faulty usb sockets on pc

3: check wires, solder breaks, etc.

Use a multimeter and check for broken wires between obd plug and pcb , check for solder breaks on pcb where plugs and connections are soldered to, basic fault finding, check for pcb damage like scorch marks or discoloration and components for signs of stress or damage, use a high power magnifier.

4: check continuity

Then its a case of deeper fault finding using things like scope, function generator etc, check continuity with cable plugged into the interface in case one of the contacts is bad then follow connections as far as you can on pcb to check for breaks on the board.

Trouble: I tried to reprogram the ABS module for a 2009 Nissan Murano but reprogramming option was disabled (Gray). any body knows how to activate it? Reply: you need to edit the file DiagnoticTool.ini to enable reprogramming and also IMMO. Or if you have money to waste buy the reprogramming card and the NATS card. Add the following line to the DiagnosticTool.ini file

also make sure system management access_mode is set to 1. That should give you full access. That's not to say that it will work if you do not have the correct calibration file in the reprogramming folder on the C drive.

How to change/rewrite Consult 3 Plus serial number

Sometimes, you need change Nissan Consult 3 plus serial number s/n, when things happen like this:

The Consult 3 plus doesn’t recognise my VI2 anymore , it show that it’s serial number 0000000
the VI2 worked perfect before and it had a SN before, i tried to type the serial number manually but it didn’t work.

you will find a folder and 3 pictures instruction in it.

inside the folder there is an exe app which you will use to change/rewrite the serial but before you do that there is a folder also with a file name reqdb which you will open with notepad and edit the first line the last 14 digit and only the second digit of each leaving the 0 in place, picture number 3 will show which ones to edit and picture number 1 shows how to use the software

connect the v12 but don’t open the Consult 3 plus software while doing this. this is how I remember them doing it
