VVDI2 makes second key to Passat 2015 MQB with Kessy

Here is the procedure of making a second key to Passat 2015 MQB.
Purpose: learn a second key to Passat 2015 MQB with Kessy
Tool: VVDI2

The information:

Put the key flat on the reader not in it
That is , When it asks you to put the original key in vvdi2 just put it flat on top
Do same when you’re generating the new key

After you read eprom and immo data and save, make dealer key and once you have done that add key and I always use the middle selection and follow it from there

Just be careful on adding the key as it’s keyless and if you turn off the ignition at the wrong time or anything else goes wrong dealer tool will be needed

Tip of “the careful”: Just when you get a generated key sorted and go into ADD KEY follow what it says carefully, does also give you warning on vvdi2

How to use KTM FlASH ECU programmer Switch board?
1. The switch board is designed to work with J2534, this device uses the Ktag cables so the user can refer to the Ktag wiring diagram.

2. Advise you use Open Port2.0 as the protocol conversion equipment and work with PC.

3. There are 3 types of Bosch Infineon ECU :
 1) The Infineon ECU before TPROT8.
 2) TPROT8-10
 3) The Infineon ECU after TPROT10 which is what we call GPT encrypted.

4. The Infineon ECU before TPROT8 is not encrypted, you directly uses the BOOT point
grounding, then follow the Ktag user manual to wire the cable and read the data.

5.For TPROT8-10,the Bosch Company set the anti-debugging mode, reading EEPROM needs no password and reading Flash needs password.
Therefore, during the reading process, there is an extra CNF1, Boot outputs low level and CNF1 outputs high level. When reading, Boot needs to add one small resistor and ground it. CNF1 to connect one 470ohm-2K resistance, then connect 3.3V, it's very important, otherwise the ECU will be burnout.
2 tips on reading the data:
 1) BOOT and CNF1 must be connected when reading data.
 2) Only connect BOOT not CNF1 When reading the password, otherwise the password can't be read out. Also you can follow the Ktag wiring diagram because Ktag controls the CNF1 turn on and off, so it can't be disconnected. When reading the password, you turn the two switches to the automatic mode, and to the On mode when reading the data, when the software prompts, you choose " Manually" then follow the message to turn on or off.

6. For GPT encrypted ECU, the S1, S2 and Boot cable are needed to connected when reading password, and the S1, S2 don't need to be connected when reading data.

How to use KTMflash to read/write ECUs (Infineon, gearbox, etc)

Tips and Guide: KTMflash Reads/Writes ECUs (Infineon, gearbox, etc)

1You have to use software from obdexpress.co.uk

2 ECU flash /e140-ecuflashand the like cannot be installed in your PC/laptop before; that is, for your PC/laptop, it must be the first time to install KTMflash software.
You’re asked to re-install a clean operation system and install KTMflash sw with the help of a video of installation tutorial; otherwise, your device would be locked.

3 Here are folders se140-ecuflash-software(KTMflash English... and KTMflash software...) inside the CD you should have. You can find out software and real tests which helps you a lot to use KTM flash.

4 The reason for why do you buy KTMflash is that, it’s good at reading Infineon ECUs and gearbox (transmission) ECU.

5 When you are reading encypted Infineon or ECUs, please read the password file (with reference to our video here). If the sw asks you to TURN OFF THE POWER SUPPLY FOR 2 SECONDS, please follow it.If the power is not off for 2 seconds, the pop-up might be appeared again in the interface. So, just turn it off for 2s and use the sw.

6 PLEASE FOLLOW THE VIDEO AND TUTORIAL TO CHOOSE THE SWITCH YOU’RE GONNA USE.

Exclamation Mark on Intel HD4000 After Xentry/DAS Install(Fixed)

Here are issues and solutions I have when I install SD-connect software Xentry/DAS. Hope it helps you guys also.

I have an exclamation mark on display adapter intel hd4000 in device manager and FN+ to increase and decrease the monitor dim bright don’t work.
My laptop is a Lenovo X230 and none of the KB4093118 and KB4103718 updates are installed!!

Reinstalled using the Mercedes-Benz Xentry.OpenShell.XDOS 2018.09 (18.9.4)
and the instructions provided here. The only thing I altered was using the 2221-45 file linked in the OP. Even though ConfigAssist is licensed , I’m getting an error regarding the 2221-45 when launching Xentry (both SIM and regular). The filename I replaced under /Xentry/fusuko/eclipse/plugins was identical and I used the one from the rar.
Well I followed the instructions in the text file also linked in the OP (in https://cartechnology.co.uk/) and I think my critical mistake was not removing the old .jar files. I assumed if I renamed them then it wouldn’t load the incorrect ones, but maybe it just loads all *.jar files within that directory at load? Hell if I know, but when I removed the old ones I was able to get them to load. Well, at least the SIM and regular version, not the ATK.
This has been quite a learning process. Will be connecting the sd-connect C4 device tomorrow and am interested in seeing if Xentry and DAS will actually work at this point.

The not permanent solution is:

Desinstall HD4000 from device manager
Restart PC
Install driver from intel website
Restart PC
This solution is not permanent I don’t know why!!

The permanent solution is:

so i will try guide you to get that your VGA driver running perfect.
Control panel>>uninstall program>>view installed update>>Sort by name.. then scroll down.. search word KB4. >>uninstall it
that problem coming from update windows file.
The name of update windows is “Security update for microsoft windows KB4XXXXXX ”
i got this problem at many model new laptop, after uninstall it do restart.
then bingo.. screen normal back again.
For newbies:
If you are not good at computers, my advise is to buy a plug-and-play kit.
Software on the disk will be installed on a functional laptop.
You can use it when the laptop starts.

(Solved) VVDI2 unable to work on any laptop

 Complaint from a VVDI2 owner:
I’ve had a vvdi2 for over two months now, unable to get it to work, I have four different laptops, all do different things, cannot find device, or as soon as I go to load it up it doesn’t work, I’ve tried reloading software over and over, shutting down firewall, am I not updating properly, does anyone else have these problem, kinda getting disappointed with this machine, any help would be appreciated .

Disable driver signature requirement on computer, keep pressing F8 on startup
Also make sure you install the correct drivers, if one doesn’t work try the other. Should be in the same folder where you extracted the software

Important: Operators fail for sure …don’t blame the tool….unistall any windows defender, antivirus, non compatible software etc….best thing its getting just one laptop for xhorse and problem solved

Just a simple laptop …with nothing at all …i personally use windows xp and windows 7 ….but it will work in any system

Mercedes diagnostic software: Xentry or DAS

Mercedes diagnostic software: Xentry or DAS

DAS (older models, but still most cars communicate through this program)
Xentry (new model cars)
If you set it up correctly, you can program offline in DAS only. Then if we need to go online with DAS we switch the modified flash folder to the original.
Xentry there is no offline programming to my knowledge, only online. Obviously, you need to have login and pass to go online.
And yes we can do 'synchronizations', miss daimler calls them adaptations.

Besides,...

Xentry is for cars from 204 "upwards" but if you have a setup with direct DAS access, then you can do 204 diagnosis from DAS too (at least up to certain MY cars).

You are never supposed to get into Xentry from DAS car selections but if you select e.g. 211 from Xentry, Xentry starts DAS and diagnosis is performed like if you started DAS directly and selected 211 from there.

HHT is for the oldest models but the line between DAS and HHT is not that clear because cars like 210 perform some diagnosis within DAS and for some control units DAS opens HHT for the actual task.

In short,

All MB from late 80’s to 99 = HHT-WIN
All MB from 2001 to 2009 = DAS
All MB from 2010+ = Xentry

The year 2000 is a weird transition period — some MB made in 1999 but the model year is 2000 will be diagnosed from the 38-pin under the hood and thus use HHT-win. Other MB made in early 2000 and sold as a 2000 model will have the OBD port and the SDS will require the OBD cable to diagnosis….and will use DAS.

And then there are orphan cars, like some SLK models — some 2000-2001 SLK require the 38-pin.

IMPORTANT: Software released in 2017 and 2018 doesn’t come with HTT-WIN. But now, it comes again! HHT-WIN is updated to 09.2018 Mercedes software disk.
